Sing Out! evening classes and day-long workshops

Jess regularly teaches Sheffield based evening classes.

The next course starting October 2023 is called Sing Out: Reconnect!

It is an eight week course for singers who want to reconnect with their voices, and sing with others in a gentle, safe environment.

in Capel Music Room, Burton Street Foundation, 57 Burton Street, Hillsborough, Sheffield, S6 2HH – fully accessible level access.

We’ll learn some straightforward songs in unison and harmony, explore technique and build some confidence.

No previous experience needed – perfect for people who have been told or believe for themselves that they “can’t sing”.

If you’ve previously attended one of Jess’s Sing Out! or Sing Out Some More! courses, this one will be a refresher and a chance to look at some new songs and some new exercises. Also suitable for people who haven’t attended any courses before at all.

Voice Lessons

Looking for vocal tuition in the Sheffield area? Jess offers beginner/intermediate singing lessons geared towards building confidence with your singing. Lessons and exercises cover all the basics – breathing, posture, projection, tuning and tone control. Coaching sessions are one-to-one, and give you the opportunity to work on your own choice of material, in your own style.

Melodeon Lessons

Richard offers beginner’s melodeon lessons and specialises in teaching how to play for dance. Lessons cover basics such as how to find your way around the instrument and using both hands, as well as the subtleties of accompanying dancing. Coaching sessions are one-to-one, and give you the opportunity to work on your own choice of material, in your own style.
